What goes there, Do you know?

OK, There is 2 empty areas that hold something when you open the cover to the rear storage compartment, When the cover is open and laying flat--Looks as if it holds a pen or tire gage? The other has a velcro loop? Does anybody know what they hold??

My clip holds a pen and the velcro part holds my ipod which is wired into the stereo using the DICE ipod adapter.
