Does any body have any suggestions for a set of nice exhaust tips. Been looking round and the genuine ones are a stupid price for what they are. :o

These are half price on Amazon and lots of members have jumped in:

I'm really pleased with them

Just measured the exhaust on the car and they are nearly 70mm diameter and a slightly square shape. It looks like these tips are only around 65mm. Are they the right ones?

My 3.0si has a standard sized twin exhaust and these tips fit perfectly. Yours are slightly square you say - sounds non-standard?

I would say it has the standard back box. The father in law has owned the car for the past 10 years and never altered anything. Il measure them again tonight.

These are available in polished Stainless -

These are the 68mm / 70mm tips for a Golf / Scirroco

£16 for a pair - fit the 3.0si perfectly

I think the OP will have a pre facelift, there were slightly squared in shape from memory.

I have machine monkey (a member on here) trims on my Z4 and they clean up really easily. Also look pretty nice too

I bought this pair from a seller on eBay £14.99...

Quality is good (not great - but good enough). Fitted in seconds. A lot less trouble than cleaning up the old ones, plus I rather like the slash cut ends.

Pretty sure OP has the same as me (pre FL) which have slightly oval shaped tips.

Nothing will fit properly unfortunately. I ended up polishing mine which looked great tho I wish they were a bit bigger to fill the bumper gap!

you’re right they are a slightly oval shape. I got some from amazon for an Audi A4. I think they are 72mm. They don’t fit perfect but aren’t too bad. They do need a self taper to hold them on though.👍🏻

Wack my eisenmann exhaust box on the back
You won’t stop smiling :driving:
these cars do need a louder exhaust.
I thought when I got the car, when the back box starts to show a bit of age it will be a good excuse to put a better sounding box on it. The damn thing still looks like new☹️. I had a gundo hack done on the porker which is basically a pair of 3/4 pipes that bypass both back boxes. I’m sure I read on here when I was a member about 6 years ago that this could be done on the zed but can’t seem to find anything about it. The sound is awesome, plenty of crackling on over run and no drone. 👍🏻
