What essentials are always in your Zed?

Years ago the story goes that Italian police had to stop sending the photos taken by speed cameras of the front seat of speeding cars along with the ticket to the offender's home address, because too many of the wives would detect an unfamiliar (to them) lady riding in the passenger seat with their husbands.

I’m leaving for France tomorrow in the E89 (700+ miles) and will be staying for 2 months. In the car will be:
1 litre oil
Cap
Wash mitt
Sunglasses
Leather
Micro fibre cloth
Tyre inflator
Slime
Rats tails
USB Charger & cable
iPhone holder
Wife
5 litres Dulux Silk emulsion (you should see the price of paint in France!)

So in the cabin :

Suntan lotion spray, plus a cloth for hands
Baseball cap & wooly hat
Pen & paper
Certificate of insurance
Sunglasses
Teeny allen key in case gear knob comes loose
Cloth for wiping up water ingress when the roof is down & it's raining
Phone holder & charger are 'installed'
Mini USB charger
Toll change

In the boot :

Side covers in the summer
Couple of hi-viz vests
Another baseball cap
Couple of microfibre cloths
Leather cleaning wipes
Latex gloves
1ltr oil
Puncture repair kit - slime includes compressor
Digital tyre pressure / tread depth monitor
Some spare bulbs & fuses
Picnic blanket & towel
Brollie
Probably other stuff I've forgotten

Is this what you carry? :poke:

Understood was the French who had to make their Speed Cameras only rear facing because of this...

generally have a rain mac, hi vis, and the car's tyre kit but that's about it really..

That said the van is usually the opposite, battery pack, heavy duty trolly, bike ramp, ratchet straps, a coat, roal of garage cloths, some sort of bag, spare shoes, small tool kit, small detailing kit, wheel brace and there's probably more!

I carry my whippy aerial around in case I need to win favour with regional Z4 cults.

A 3 weeks dead 4lb haddock that’s been in the sun for 2 days so no one wants to ride shotgun.... :P

(A pack of nose clips and an aircraft sickbag just in case....it’s a price worth paying for anonymity... )
