Why? Well it came loose from the car today on the way home from work and made a horrible scraping noise.
It eventually worked loose and I picked it up after it fell off!

I had an oil service done last week and so was wondering if this is something which the dealer has not screwed back properly?

ALSO - very shortly after this I noticed my steering go very heavy and then car would go to one side when braking. Very shortly after that the TPMS light, handrake light and DTC light (with a circle) all came up as yellow. I got home and the symptoms where still there.

Ive been home 3 hours and went back out to the car just a minute ago. Started her up and all 3 lights were still on. I fiddled about with the TPMS and DTC button but nothing went off/changed colour etc. I turned the engine off and then back on - all lights on. Went for a very short spin and within a minute they all went off.......this is all very strange and all suddenly after its been for an Oil Server and some apparant new software to sort an engine starting issue.

Thoughts?

Cheers
Jamie

that flap covers the oil drain plug so may well be the dealers did nt fix it back well enough , cant help with other probs be i would deffo be going back to the dealers to kick some ass :x

As above protects the oil tray, and most certainly is related to them not tightening it back up.... you've probably lost a good few screws and clips in the process of it falling off, so make sure any damaged ones are alos replaced.

I cant see how the DTC and TPMS light came on with this falling off, unless it knocked the ABS sensor on the way down. Only time my car had them all lit was after i got my car dyno'd..... but after a stop and start and short drive mine turned off too.
