What does this button do?

I own a 2003 Z4 3.0 and down where the ashtray is are several buttons. Some are for the heated seats. But what is the one next to the DSC button do? It looks like it has to do with the tires.
Explain what it does or what it is good for...?

It's to reset the tyre/tire pressure sensors when you fit a new tyre or use the mobility kit.

Its the tire pressure sensor reset button. If it detects the a drop in the tyre pressures then it'll light up on your dash and, once youve sorted the problem, holding this down for a few seconds should reset the indicator AFAIK.

I think on the earlier models the way it senses a drop in pressures is different (originally I believe it messured it by something to do with a differing rotational speed of the wheels, due to the reduced size of a deflated tyre?), but the button does the same thing.

If im wrong Im sure someone will be along shortly to correct me! :)

I think that's the other button. The one he is talking about is supposed to be to arm the passenger ejection seat, with a second push activating it :?

You got it right, I believe. I think it was the 05's when they put in a TPS. The older ones use the differing rotational speed.

We can't resist. I'm doing searches now, I recall a very funny (!) thread, and also a sport button thread.

I can't wait to see what's next :o

The search is not cooperating and I have to get ready for work. I'm sure one of the other Lifer's can find it.

RTFM

I'm sure the OP got a manual with the car.

Page 50 in mine - Runflat indicator.

Don't press it with passenger over 220kg though otherwise the car digs itself in the tarmac!
