Now i have sold my car looking for a zed 3.0

Seen this car on another thread

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2284103.htm

Hope to go and have a look at it tomorrow if its still for sale , what does every one think , spec and price?

Looks like a nice tidy example. Smae model, year and colour as mine.

Bit cheeky to list the price to appear to inc hardtop in the header, then add £1,000 on for it lower down

Clear headlights and rear quads are custom/retrofit or DIY so just check who and how well they were done.

Aside the wheels almost everything listed is standard so you really want to see what extras come with it such as Sat Nav, heated seats, sports seat, xenon lights, etc.

Overall I'd say a good price for a limited spec on a top of the range 2003. Devil in the detial of a look and drive though

As above tidy looking car and if he has all the paperwork to back up what has been done its worth a look.

Wheels not my cup of tea but they can easily be changed milleage is fairly low not that low cars out there with a lot less but 65k is nothing on these engines.

Extras a CJ said mostly standard.

May be worth taking it to BMW for a once over for peace of mind unless you know a good mechanic or know your stuff as these cars are not cheap when they go wrong.

Take it for a test drive and have a really good nose around and take someone with you two pairs of eyes and all that and remember time is on your side youve got a couple of months before prices start rising.

Good luck in your search mate

Hi all

I am i right in thinking that heated seats and folding mirrors are not standard?
Not to bothered about the sat nav. the only thing i would like is the mfsw which i believe is a easy retro fit and not to exspensive.

I like the look of the wheels make the car stand out abit from others and also 12 mot ,taxed and seems to have most of the problem areas sorted. Will have to check out how well done the lights are etc , what should i look out for on those ?
Cheers

Re the wheels they look fine just not my cuppa tea and they suit the car fine.

Re the lights they are just direct replacements from BMW so should be no probs the side repeaters are just twist on and twist off headlights are more involved when it comes to fitting but a sealed unit from BMW.

Folding mirrors are non standard as far as i know and heated standard seats i am not sure i have M.Seats which are heated

All Zeds have folding mirrors, but if they are mechniacally folded and have the extra button on the drivers door then that's an extra.
Heated seats are an extra, albeit it fairly common on the 3.0i model. You're really after sport heated seats to get the best....

The seller must be a forum member so please step forward :poke:

I think for the price its very good imo. Wheels do not look like any BMW wheels i have seen though, could be wrong but dont think so.

He must be selling it cheap, as all 3ltrs ive seen are still about 10k, well for decent ones. And with the clear lights and hardtop, its very attractive to a std 2003 model.

Go and have a look, but with no interior photo's i would say it has standard seats, definitely not sports ones.

Chris - not sure if you missed it but the hardtop is an extra £1,000 despite the wording in the banner of the advert.

Yeah i saw that, but even at £9500 with a hardtop i think thats very good. Just for someone to be selling with all the extra's, it does seem cheap, or i spose well priced :P

Looks good to me! Looks like it's been well looked after. I think it looks stunning, good price too. Definitley worth a look.

Is it just me or is the mileage not listed?

Mine is cheaper than this with more options and is newer! :headbang:

I'm really struggling to get a picture in the dry, It's always raining/snowing here :(

Yep its paza3 car ,iam going to see it on tuesday , spoke to the guy and it seems good will have to see, daffy milage is 65000 dont panic i got my eye on yours to but its quite along way for me to travel so would have to be a weekend illsee how paza3 car goes first.

Is it just me or is it a bit cheap ? It's not too different to mine, which is a 2003...but with satnav and only 45k miles,... and I like to think its worth £10k (?)

Maybe its the time of year, or I am kidding myself.

Time of year doesn't help and it depends if the buyer is going on price, mileage, spec or age, there are some well priced lower spec examples out there at the mo.
