What do you think of this Z4 35is?

This is a good deal on a great car! Same spec near enough as mine had and heated seats not an issue with the alcantara. 2013 35is in VO appear a lighter shade of orange and later ones appear slightly darker? The early VO cars look stunning without the black roof. Miss my VO 35is a lot!!!! :(

What other 40k-mile, 35iSs are there on the market for £22k?

What's this car's competition?

I've searched and none at the age or mileage ... me thinks I might snap this up... hard sale with the missus though :-(

Good model (the best), good age, good mileage, very good spec*, good colour (there'll always be a market for a Valencia Orange 35iS), good source and a good price. Get it bought before someone else does.

*The heated seats can't be a deal breaker on a car as good as this. (Mine burn my bum on all but the lowest setting anyway and I rarely use 'em.)

As for the wife, she'll come round soon enough.

I think a lot of pampering for her is on order (ie holiday! ha ha)

Hoping they will respond tomorrow if not I will give them a call.. I will tell my wife its an investment as this model is a collectors item.

I have also emailed Cartronics for a quote to retrofit heated seats ... I can always add it later if money allows :-)

God so excited! Wonder what the difference is with this and my 23i !

That's a well-specced car, I'd say. Price seems reasonable for AUC and you'll get the 12 month warranty, which I've already used twice. I was also a cash buyer and they had no discount to offer, so I paid asking price.

I've seen VO in person, and I liked it. I thought it suits the E89, but it might not be to everyone's taste.

You could give this a go to get a ballpark estimate for your trade-in value until mrwilks gives his estimate  https://www.capconnect.co.uk/ConsumerValues/Ford.aspx?DB=CAR&CH=PWRTZ&New=1

Assuming that is sarcasm used as wit as i don't recall ever giving anyone a trade in value :? but should the op only want to deal using his car as trade in then best advice would be to get a value off WBAC then add £500 & use that figure as his target to achieve .
After all its how BMW work out their trade in values most of the time :o except they only add £150

Apologies, it was a genuine compliment. I meant you know the market well.

Here's mine so I'm probably a little biased in my opinion that it's a great colour for the E89 and the contrasting roof compliments it well!

I can understand your reluctance regards the lack of heated seats - however, I can say the alcantara isn't as cold as leather when first sat on so you might be able to accept the compromise

Omg that looks stunning in the photo .. my DSB with ivory nappa is lovely but this looks great! Yes it was an odd omission with heated seats since it's got everything else but yes not being fully leather it's ok I agree.

What's the feel of the interior like? I'm used to the light colour of ivory white and the white roof lining ...is the alcantara comfy vs leather ?

I must admit that I too like light colour interiors but I love Valencia Orange and the Pure Traction Package which includes VO with the black and orange interior go very well together. Besides, the way the car goes and sounds I wouldn't mind if the interior was 1970's brown velour

Alcantara is quite grippy unlike leather so holds you firmly, quite a good match for the 35is. The bolsters and the extendible front part of the seats are in leather. The sports seats are very comfy, although my previous E89 had the optional enhanced lumber adjustment on the electric seats which the first owner of my car omitted and I do miss the extra range that offered.

I think you need to go and see and try it for yourself :D

Fair do's , the apology should be mine  18 months since my E89 time i'm currently getting a grasp on them as planning to be back in one by xmas (twin turbo ideally  )
The above VO one is a stunner & slightly surprised over the lack of heated seats :? a must for me i'm afraid as i do like all year round use .

I have asked for a quote from Cartronics.co.uk (great guys they have done a HI FI upgrade on my current E89) probably won't be cheap for retrofit heated seats but will post it here for info once I have it..

The most difficult part is addressing it with my missus lol, she has zero interest in cars, in law is going to be a challenge so a hoiliday set aside for her and a box of chocolates for mum in law :D :D :D

I'm not holding my hopes up too much though (the car could be a lemon or it could have already been snapped up ) there is a decent 28i fully loaded in north oxford for £18k I'm going to take a test drive too .. not anywhere as good as this35is but a more affordable option ...

You're talking yourself into a contradiction. If, in your mind, it's "not anywhere as good", it can't be an "option".

These cars don't hang about very long. I'd always call over waiting for them to email. Given it's the weekend be okay with the fact that it might get sold!

Speaking from experience, it's night and day compared to the 23i. Honestly though don't test drive it unless you're willing to buy. My OH said I came back from the test drive with a huge grin on my face.

My thoughts entirely, if you dont get your personal stamp on this it will be gone, emails are often not read at large dealerships or are left to junior staff to pick up, call or face dissapointment!

Damn! I rang them today and it looks like you guys are right ... the car went even before I saw it advertised ... he's going to call me if the deal falls through but I wouldn't let that car go once I have it lol

well one in Staffordshire for £28.5 k ...

And this time, heated seats :-P

From my experience good 35i/is sell in no time when priced reasonably !! I bought mine within hours of it being advertised.

Out of interest, why an LCI model?

Just fancied newer models with the LED rings and the sliver swoosh on the side indicators ... I have LUX H8 160 and retrofit indicators on my current Z4 but I do like the proper LCI headlights ... downside is I love my pure white nappa interior for the 2009-2011 models .... despite that it's nice if I can get the latest model if I'm going for an upgrade because this will be a keeper ...plus the VO colour , love it !
