What do you think - CSL Reps

I called the number on the following add this morning enquiring about the wheels he is advertising.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/19-INCH-BMW-C...s_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item1c12bd75a3

The guy told me that he ordered the wheels directly from Rondal and could supply with any tyre I wanted. I asked him for a price with Falken's and he quoted me £1350 delivered to my door.

He tried to tell me that the wheels were made in the same factory as the OEM ones but I'm not sure if thats correct as the OEM's are BBS not Rondal right? Either way Rondal are a well known brand and I'm sure make a quality product.

I've had 8~9 sets of aftermarket wheels on my Z4/Z4M's, and the CSL replicas are absolutely the WORST wheels I've had. You have a Z4M; take advantage of the proper offsets and put authentic ZCP/CSL wheels on your car.

And yes the shop was full of sh!t saying the OEM wheels and the CSL reps were made in the same factory.

Thanks for your input.

CSL's are sooo friggin expensive though! I'm Scottish remember :headbang:

Any tips on where to buy a set of genuines? There are one's on ebay for almost 1700.

PM AliV6 - I believe he's selling his Z4M and currently has CSLs on it (he's also selling it with the original wheels too). Perhaps he might sell you the CSLs separately? I believe they're genuine but you'd have to ask him. He's in Aberdeen too...

There was a post on CSLs quite recently - try searching. I had a quote for a set of reps recommended via M3 cutters at £600 in any colour and good quality tyres at a sensible price (£1200 with contisport 3s).

The thing is that CSLs pay for themselves as the resale will be pretty much the same as the outlay (at least that's what I told myself!). There are very good condition examples on sale between 1000-1200 but you will need to factor in the tyre outlay too.

I've done many searches mate and I'm pretty sure I've read all on csl's. My post was to ask a question regarding the particular set advertised on the ebay page I provided a link too. Its a forum, generally used to ask questions of like minded people. In my humble opinion POST AWAY!!! its a DISCUSSION forum.

Anyway just a little rant and on the flip side, thanks for the advice lol. I hear you about the CSL's I just grudge it on wheels. It looking like around 2K for a set with tyres. gulp.
