What do you sit on?

Hi all-had a test drive in a zed and managed to carefully lower myself in the seat without rubbing the side of it,but i cant imagine passengers would be so careful,so my question is do you cover the seat base to protect it from studs etc in jeans?(test drive was awesome!!!) :D -thanx

I try to enter without any rubbing, however the missus isnt as agile as myself and just about falls into the seat  , she has already put a couple of scratches and nail marks on the leather  ,I dont give her a hard time about it, but I hate her slamming the door :headbang:

Just get in and drive for me, no time to faff around like that. If the seats get bad during my ownership then I'll get them re-coloured, it's not expensive and makes them look brand new.

The door slamming thing doesn't worry me with this car either, it's so solid that I feel the need to shut it very firmly myself anyway!

+1 just in and drive, had a few scratches re coloured once , but nothing that severe and only because the guy was already here fixing our leather sofa of cat scratches :o

I know, but what can you do :D

Didn't take them long to put them back on after the fix

My wife takes care thankfully. Reality is imho that more damage is likely to happen to the side bolster sliding in than ever to the base, so towels, etc. are a waste of time.

I havent paid attention to how people get into the car. The only person who sits it the passenger side regularly is the gf who tends to wear leggings which wont do any harm.

I DO however go ape at people slamming the doors. gf slammed it once during an argumnet so hard i expected the glass to shatter, i told her shes paying for any damage!

I have trouble avoiding scuffing the bottom of the door with my feet (well just the right foot really)

I just get in and go. I am concious of "taking care" of the car, but it doesn't seem to be working since I've spent more money on scratches, dings and had the worst luck on the roads since buying my Z last July.

It already feels like a high maintenance car and this sort of thing would tip me over the edge, sell up and move on.

Your post SUBJECT reminds me of a joke ...

Tower to Pilot of the Piper 202 "What's your hight and location?

Pilot of Piper 202 to Tower "I'm 6 foot 2 and in the cockpit"

as to what I sit on ... well my behind  I never carry anything in my back pockets and my trousers are cargo pants without any studs or zippers :)

At my age and back I feel lucky to get in and out of the car at all!

+1

My brother (when I told him I got myself a Z4) said as long as you can get in and out off this fish can it's okay (he called it a Sardienen Dose in German). He never will know how much fun it is with a frame of mind like that.
