Hi you guys, I'm on the lookout for a 28i auto and this looks a beauty only put off by the mileage, seems a bit high would've went for it if it had around 15000 miles.
How much would you guys pay for it ? or would you hang on for a lower mileage example.

It's only on 21k which is still less than average, if that's your only issue I would say well worth a look.

Personally that millage wouldn't bother me. I know it's been mentioned in other threads but I'm not sure what the issue is with people actually using cars as designs i.e. to drive. If it's what you've been after then make an offer, not stupidly low but what you consider a good price given the spec, price, condition, millage and taking the current going rate into consideration.

Well I would phone up two dealers, as there are some cracking deals on 28i's

It was cheaper to buy new than used - i know it sounds daft but its TRUE!

I'd go for it, mileage isn't that high. It has all the toys on board. Nice looking car, good spec.

Price is probably what a dealer would ask for, he should come down a grand or two I would have thought.

How much would a brand new out of the box same spec car cost you?
Folk on here are always talking of dealer discounts. Asking costs you nothing.

Have a look at the post hot uk deals

Yes it doesn't hurt to ask but if you don't have the money to buy one new currently then probability is you don't have the money to buy one you'd actually like. You are taking 9K off and then you want to add £10-15k worth of extras but you couldn't afford a new one base price anyway then it's not going to change things.

You don't have to have all the toys but if you've seen one fully loaded for a price you like you'll not get a new one for that. It's the extras that are the killer.

You can even go onto broadspeed and spec the car you want and they'll tell you how much your looking at. You don't even have to venture to a dealership.

It's all too easy to go down the route of "oh it's only a few quid extra" :D
Some of the extras are essentials and others are desirables - you just have to try and decide your essentials.

Thanks for your opinions  I'm really after a car with a great spec like this one in white or space grey (after seeing this one) I think the mileage just puts me off I can see myself getting itchy feet when it reaches 30-33000 miles.. The search goes on (I think)

Many here have said don't worry about 12/15 k a year !
If it has all the dealer history and stamps why worry? Stick a proper warranty on it and you're laughing.

If you're not a high miler , then it will soon become less than average!

If it's got the spec and colour you want plus the stamps, just go and have a look, buy and then enjoy the summer!

Spot on, had a quick look on Broadspeed your looking at £28000 plus your extras so I would be looking at £35000 at least..

Stick with plan 'A' I reckon.

I hadn't realised that there were a shed load of extras to add on the Broadspeed site.

I bought my well specced car from the dealer but some poor soul took a right good wallet bashing.
About a 50% drop on three years is a reasonable rule of thumb.

Yeah my Dad pointed this out to me the other night whilst I was visiting but I had been having the conversation with my Mum earlier saying it would still cost nearer to £50k for my car even with discount as I've most extras on it. Still a good price but as I do very little millage wise I'd be chucking money away really.

Where as I wasn't looking to change my car but got a fully loaded one with 20k on the clock for £25k which given current prices and prices then was a bargain! I know I don't do many miles so it didn't bother me. I've bought all 3 previous cars I've owned new so this was a new to me but knowing that in 5 years I did 17k mostly done in the first year. I know I've not much to worry about millage wise, especially as I live right in the heart of the city and have done 800 miles since I bought it in January. And that's mostly a trip to argyle and bute and a trip to wingate and back dropping off the R32. Oh and 120 miles back from the garage picking it up.

Basically cars are just a big money pit and usually cannot be justified by any logical criteria - but they're nice toys to have!

So the moral is just pay the money and enjoy the car (or cars) you want because this life is not forever!

Exactly  :driving:

If it what you want, go get it. Live got today.

Unfortunately as I've got older I've learnt not to plough all my money into a car. It's only taken me 13 years

The mileage wouldn't put me off, Seems like a good deal to me. I've got a Volvo I bought 7 years ago with 127k on the clock and is now on 202k. Strangely it's been the cheapest car I've ever had to run. It was a lease car before I got it and had racked up a lot of motorway mileage which doesn't put much stress on it compared to short urban trips and was serviced every other month.
