What do you do for a living?

Design Engineering Consultant.
Have worked in the UK and NL nuclear industry, oil&gas (upstream), aerospace (typhoon) and ship design sectors.
Now a contracting consultant but currently taking a break from it all by cycling everday and fixing up my dodgy new zed....

Good idea for a thread!

Duct tape or zip ties?!
Blu-tac and empty washing up bottles.....
Going all Blue Peter on us are you!?
That Typhoon fighter assembly was pretty 'Blue Peter' back then.
Got to see some prototype roll-outs....and some spectacular explosive take-off aborts. Pilots managed to eject ok.
Designers used to blame faults on the fabbers. Fabbers blamed faults on us.
We should have settled things in a big carpark straightener.

Former NHS ambulance technician and first responder. I now run two businesses which I've built from scratch ... the chauffeur company I established in 2007 (if you're interested do take a look at www.rapidexec.com) and the other is a more recent venture into all things geographic ... see www.pinpointmapping.co.uk for more info

Ah reet. You got there a few years after I escaped! lol
Was commuting from Barrowford to Leyland for about 5 years up to 1999.
Is Faber Design still there? Top of School Lane on the corner. It's prob gone or been swallowed up by another company by now.
Happy memories though. Was my learning ground for all things aerospace and nuclear.
