Hi all,

I have been looking to replace my 2.5 si with a low ,mileage 3.0si. and this is in the trader

nice colour combo and good spec, good wheels, sat nav, which probably means not bog standard radio, elec seat etc...

so - does anyone know the car ? - its based gatwick ish - and what do we think about the price?

its a private sale, and there is finance on it that will be settled (and im ok with that - provided it is...)

my 07 2.5 has 16k miles on it - less spec, standard radio, mv2 , heated seats, would the group think that privately, mine should sell for 10k ish ....
id appreciate your thoughts

If the cost of change would indeed be a grand or two, you will be laughing indeed. I am afraid that the gap will be a bit more than that though ...

can you afford to buy & then sell yours ? if so then next thing fix your " happy to cost me " figure . say £2k then expect to get the target car for £11k/£11400 ?
gives you scope to sell your own for around £10k ?
factor in the change to 3.0Si 265bhp & its worth the effort if the black car turns out as good as you expect

thats the plan - its a private seller - so no trade in, and a couple of grand to swap is a very good thing indeed - i may even wait till spring and see if i could get a touch more for the 2.5
 
You mean keep both for that time? Not sure if that is a good idea, srhutch could not shift his immaculate 2.5si ...

I was thinking that yes - i could have it till spring without it being too inconvenient - the missus would use it - but it would have to go then

what do we think a price to sell it now is - its super low miles (16k) and in good fettle
