There was a noise coming from the transmission when under acceleration, but it was intermittent.

I traded it in for £13k, so they aren't making a massive margin.

Out of interest, what did you trade it in for?
 
Can't thank you enough for the information smokedog. That price is very tempting now. I'll go down and see it this weekend I think, would get a warranty direct policy too just in case I think.
 
Try and insist on 2 years warranty worton.

That price is very tempting, esp if the warranty covers the transmission.
 
I've been having a look around the site, does the transmission have known problems? Warranty direct quoted me £900 for 1 year with authorised dealers carrying out the work. I might try and push for the extra warranty with the dealer
 
Not heard of any problems with the auto box.

Would have thought BMW used approved warranty would be cheaper than £900.
