No one asks me.
Ahhh..poor old Mikey! :(

I get called 'dickhead' no matter which car I am driving. No idea why! :?

My neighbour did ask if the Z4 was a 'mid life crisis' car a while ago. I said "yes, you should have bought one when you had yours, you awd git". :D

When someone says hairdresser car,I reply jump in I will show you then drop the the top take them out in it and briskly redress their hair :hairdryer:

I'm okay with any "hairdresser" comments, I had a MX-5 RF not too long ago.
RF's have always been on my try list since they were released. What was it like to live with?

I liked that RF a lot. It reminded me a lot of the roadsters I owned in the 1970s with little weight, little power, decent handling and a super high fun factor. Loved that manual transmission! However, I did not enjoy driving it much in city traffic. At least here, huge 4-wheel "off road" elevated suspension trucks are what the natives prefer to drive. Little ol' me felt like I would eventually be overridden by one of them on city streets. That was the main reason I traded my Miata/MX-5. Another, less important reason was the my wife complained the passenger foot rest area was very narrow, and the seat did not recline enough. Even though she very, very road in the car with me, I still decided to trade. It seemed a better way to go than trading the wife ...........since I felt uncomfortable on city streets anyway.

Interesting read and wise choice as opposed to trading in the wife!

I owned an MX5 NC last year and the passenger footwell was apparently too small in that too. Great cars to drive though - probably one of the best and pure driving experiences I've ever had tbh.

Are they all equipped with a LSD? thats what really made the NC a blast to drive.

I just say a knackered old little 2 seater, that usually kills it, however if pushed I say Z4, it's only if there's no other way out I'll say bmw....

Mind you at least it's not Audi TT....I think I'd have to lie if I had one of those.... :P

Same here. I traded my MX-5 for the Z4 because it was just too small all round. You can't really compare the two as the Z4 is like a BMW saloon car with only two seats but the MX-5 is just small in every department.

Yep, that's a great description of the two cars.

I have to admit the MX5 was probably more fun to drive than my Z4, especially since it had a manual transmission and clutch. If I lived somewhere with very little traffic and hilly, winding roads, I'd still own the Miata....but I'd not ask my wife to join me either! I rode on the passenger side once when she drove, and it was indeed uncomfortable in the foot area.
