Was so pleased to find it manages, somehow to get on the drive behind my new place in Bath without scraping!!!

Looking good Tom , maybe give the Eibach's a miss tho :? Just about get a rizzla under as it is !

Yes ... It was a bit of brown trouser moment the first time, some horrible raised iron works on the other side too which almost kiss the skirt! It will be fun in the wet I reckon!

Andy ... Absolutely, drop me a PM when you're about! The zeds sound great round these streets!

Tom i would be in my work car and not the ///M but i could imagine what the sound would be like as we have some very narrow lanes/roads here and i love the echo off the walls from the engine/exhaust note

Went out for a drive, got some strange looks as we had the roof down! But heck it wasn't raining and with heated seats and the heater on we were nice and toasty. Then we looked at how dirty it had got in the month we have had it, but it started raining before we could do anything about it. Still loving it!

Gave it a rest after trip to Ireland (and also just found out coil spring broke - fix on Tues)

Well it was my first full day of ownership so cleaned all the roof and washed the car inside and out. Job for next week is get the marks covered up on the roof and treat it all again once my stuff off ebay arrives to do it.

Oh and took her for a drive down some country roads listening to the beautiful 6 cyl burble and she screamed when she hit 6K :driving:

Just got my lights to try and get the horrible crap off that makes them look att dirty and smeared. No idea how yet but sure this forum will tell me when I have a look. Might even just buy new ones :D

Went for a visit to Mother in laws who stays in BRAEMAR great drive up with roof down :)

I'm so jealous :D

I looked at mine a few times today, but didn't get the opportunity to drive it :(

Steph and I took the Zed on some of our favourite roads to our favourite café for a late breakfast (a fabulous cooked breakfast it is too).

Beautiful blue sky, trees in wonderful autumnal colours , traffic light, even the cyclists were quite infrequent but parts of the roads were still damp and covered in muck from field work so caution needed under the trees and in the dark shadows - that low sun makes for difficulties at times.

A brilliant mornings run and the Zed performs great in the crisp, damp, cold air - all good!

:driving:

I fitted my coilovers! Still needs some fiddling with height but very happy! Then washed it and tucked it back in the garage before the rain!

Gave the old girl a jolly good service!
After having to crack out a plank or two to get the car into my workshop, most of the day was spent doing...

Full BMW Inspection II check list
Diff oil change
Gearbox oil change
Engine oil change
Oil filter change
Air filter change
Pollen filter change
New front drop links fitted
Cleaned out soft top drain pipes
VANOS seals changed
Rocker cover gasket changed
DISA valve cleaned up
Idle control valve cleaned
Windscreen wiper resting point fix thing
Painted the brake disc hubs (hate it when they go rusty)
Of course, gave the car a clean inside and out afterwards
Oh, and removed the Tax Disc!!!

Now, if BMW did that lot on a service I wouldn't mind paying them £425 for the pleasure... :P

 Cheers! Apart from the aforementioned fight getting into the workshop in the first place, it must be said the Z4 is an exceptionally easy car to work on compared to others! (Lotus Exige, Porsche 928, I'm looking at you) Helped massively by BMW using good quality materials in the first place so nothing was rusted or seized :D (Unlike the 4 year old Range Rover Sport I took the front bumper off of and all four bolts holding it on underneath were rusted and sheared straight off :headbang: )

And I thought that I had done well refitting my refurbed ABS module, stainless brake lines, bleeding the brakes and painting the calipers!

These cars are easy to work on. I know what you mean about quality materials. I cut my teeth working on my much loved and hated (when the many bolts broke pug 205)
I didn't do it today but last Friday i did similar.
Engine oil and filter
diff oil
gear box oil
clutch delay vale delete
coolant change and expansion tank
pollen filter
Its good to know its all been done. I have changed all the suspension bushes and uprated what i wanted too. Put coil overs on the lsd all new discs and pads as well.So all the mods i wanted to do (for now) Are done mechanically she is tip top. All i need to do now is make her look right by getting the body work done and resprayed. And then sort out all the rattles and squeaks and sound proof the doors to hopefully get rid of the cheap tinny sound!!

Changed the battery in the key. Was quite disappointed that it didn't work. Then discovered that you have to recode the key in the car and now all happy with two working keys!
