What did you do in the sun today!?

Hooning :D

Contemplated the shimmer on the sea from the horizon to the shore at St Mary's Island in the North East - out in the Zed - it went really well and made me smile as I realised how lucky I was to be enjoying the run in the sunshine in my Zed. :driving:

I cleaned both bms. Did a bit of investigatory work into my audio setup. Took the front speakers out to check sizing etc, and removed a few bits of trim to check cable routes for a possible ice upgrade.

Found behind the rear cubby holes is full of what looks like sound deadening, so I'm guessing a previous owner added some speakers or subs and removed them when they sold it on.

Installed Led bulbs in the footwell, rear console box and inside boot. Attempted the dome and map lights but the bulbs were too big so I've just been on eBay to order some more smaller ones. Couldn't find a light in driver side footwell or in the glove box, is this normal or are my eyes letting me down?

Oh, and before I washed the zed I nipped to halfords to by the autoglym soft top cleaner and protector kit and applied it to the roof before I washed the rest of the car.

Topped her up with petrol and then went for a little hoon round some local country roads with the roof down :)

It was a good day! Think the gf is feeling a bit neglected since I picked up the zed 3 weeks ago.

Cleaned and photographed my lawnmower, put it on ebay (I have artificial grass now :) ) Then had to work for a few hours, on the laptop in the garden  Washed the zed, hoovered it out. Went to Bluewater with my Son, Gourmet Burger Kitchen for dinner  Then just been cleaning the oven. Rock 'n roll baby

If you managed to get all that done, you didn't wash the zed properly :poke:

Ha, probably not by a lot of member's standards that's true, but a wash at all is quite an achievement for me :D

Popped down to Alton in Winchester. 20k walk through fields and some insanely pretty villages, then pub dinner and back to The Big Chuff. Cracking day.

went for a morning surf at watergate, lunch with mrs mad4, daughter and boyfriend in the phoenix, home, did a removal quote in the M, home ,washed the M, tea then out to see a local band in charlestown, a great day

Visited a client (yes, on Saturday! :headbang: ), went to the dentist, ordered the current BMW Performance shift knob, picked up a nice set of Conti Sports Contacts and had a new washing machine installed to keep the fiancee happy. Still waiting for the brand new aftermarket wheels to leave the factory. Now just relaxing with a bottle of wine and some jazz in the background.

Went out on 2 wheels, pedals first then powered later. Can someone tell me what these french fries are? And no not the ones you eat.

The small body coloured strip on pre face lift tail lights.

I think cars look best with them fitted. Dave's above being a cracking example.

I went to B&Q in the Zed, came back, and then sat indoors all day fixing customer's networks. Absolutely gutted.

Still my car might have a made up mechanical fault so I can stay too.

I washed the zed the wife's kuga. Then used some clay on the wife's car. It's white and had little tar and bug splats all over it. Then waxed them both they both look great. The zed looks much better mind.

mowed the lawn pulled the weeds out washed the patio and decking. Took bloody ages but looks nice now.

Then me and Mrs Monkey went for a drive meet my mate Dan in his cayman. Was a really great day topped off with a nice family BBQ and a few beers

French fries are the small strips of body coloured plastic between the brake/indicator and reverse light sections in pre-facelift rear lights!

Missing from mine in the OP.

I went for a bike ride: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/300468147

Nice route! I used to live in Wiltshire and was a member of Westbury Wheelers CC.

Now in Staffs and rejoined Stone Wheelers again recently after a 10 year lay off.

Was out with a few yesterday but forgot to turn my tracker off at the cafe we went to for breakfast so 35 minutes spent drinking tea and talking. The best type of cycling there is!

Using my mobile at the moment as I want a GPS that also does walking. What set up do you use?

Washed the winter muck off the Z, including the salt build up under the car

Finished off with an interior clean leaving the leather having a good soak in leather balm
