What could i have disturbed?

Hi all, I noticed a damp passenger carpet last week -so on Friday I pushed the seat back pulled out the plastic diamond on the door and unscrewed the screw behind it, I then pulled off the door card from the bottom to double check the membrane-I left the screw behind the handle as I could see under and behind the card-membrane stuck down solidly. I then pushed the card back into place at which point a neighbour came out to chat- I then pulled the car in the garage where it sat over the weekend-came to use it this morning and noticed the red air bag light on :roll: -I then noticed the plastic diamond hanging from the door-thought this was just a cover tho?-any thoughts?-done a search.-thanks

I can only guess you have pulled the airbag plug out when you pulled the door card out. Only option is going to be to remove the door card and have a proper look.

Yes Andy but remember to wear some protection , A boiler suit , motorbike helmet & a cricket box for your valuables should do it they could go off at anytime once dislodged

Airbag plug?-I thought it was just held in by three bolts?

Just to clarify the plastic diamond on the door card is just a cover isnt it? Like i say i ran the zed with the diamond hanging out.

Yes, the plastic diamond is just a cover, it's not connected to the airbag in any way.

Cheers for the input mate/ could i have dislodged the connection at the top of the door just by easing out the bottom by a couple of inches?
