What could I have broken?

I was in the services on the m40, the first ones you come to after you join from the m42 southbound, and wasn't paying attention to the gigantic speed bumps in the car park. It was one of those pavements type thing that are raised to fo the bump. So over I went slowly and grounded the middle of the car, nasty loud bang. Nothing looks like its hanging off but you can't really see much when it's on the floor

if there was nothing pointy sticking up it should be ok. i lost count of the number of times i grounded my E85. I did lose a jacking block once!

i had a good look today while it was up in the air having its wheels done and nothing seemed to be in the wring places.

there is seems to be loads of plates that look sacrifical under there anyway.

im sort of used to it from the westy. it has this hoop that hangs down just where the gearbox tunnel starts that is always catching. it makes the worst noise but is there just for that purpose.

I am constantly waiting for a scrape under mine, and spend loads of time squinting under her when I get home if it's happened... You are right, there are lots of plates under there that take the brunt... The only thing that has been damaged that I have seen is the underside ofthe side skirt, and even then that's not visible unless you get underneath. Should be fine

Same! Although I've lost a jacking block and some of the "bangs" I think come from bolt heads of the plates taking some stress

thanks all

ill be ok. the bolts thing reminds me that the other place that takes the bangs on the westy is the seat mounting bolts. you really feel those through your arse when you are just sitting in a fibreglass bucket seat :) lol

anyway warning to all, avoid the big raised walkways in that services as they are (to put it bluntly) fuckers

i have grounded mine loads of times!

Over speed bumps its usually the exhaust box that gets a knock.

once reversing off a slope and the middle of my car was on the ground!

No issues with mine
