What convertible is as good looking as a z4

I'm with Rob, every petrolhead should at one time in their life own an Elise chassis and experience being properly connected to the road!

Otherwise, I do love the mk2 SLK look with the F1 inspired front end (appreciate its marmite though) and in V8 format is fantastic

The Fiat Barchetta is stunning, shame they are LHD!

I saw a Honda S660 at a show recently, they look brilliant too, I love how they show off the engine bay etc.

Of course you can then go back in to British sports car eras of the 70s and they all look absolutely fantastic, even if they fall apart during use!

remeber test driving a barchetta donkeys years ago..don't remember it being lhd, definitely not a slk fan..do like 2012 on sl though, think mI'm past the Elise stage in life unfortunately :D , 70s brit cars definately don't do it for me..next door has a few and they're off the road more than on :D

Quite like the convertible TR7 or TR8 they have become better looking with age and a cheap classic at the moment , not for much longer though I would imagine. Was on my list before getting the Z4 bug.

Ah shame about the Elise chassis...maybe take up yoga and try again in a year :D They are better looking in my opinion and of course much more visceral and exciting to drive than a Z4. I do always hammer on at people they should own one even for a year before they miss the chance!

I do like the old 1990s SLs they look classy but obviously dont have modern set ups. 2010's SLs are a good deal right now, even 5.5L ones are well within budget. Obviously a bit more GT than the Z4 (which is a GT in its own way as well).

I have had an Elise and there is nothing to compare on the road, handles incredibly well and would take one in a heartbeat as a toy, mine was a daily driver but lived with it for 18 months.

Think the F-type is the way to go on looks

I did toy with the idea of going Porsche but the thoughts where always tempered by that thought of “If only i spent just £x more”

So I stuck with the BMW product !
