Gents,

Looking for some quick opinions - my wheels have gone in for a refurb and I have a choice colours, wheels are 326's and I am having the callipers done in satin red car is Alpine white (boring I know)

Keep the original OEM silver
Shadow (Black) Chrome (Image 4)
Gunmetal (Image 2)
Anthracite (Image 2)
Flash chrome (Image 3 - not convinced on this one)
Ferrite grey (Image 1)

Or do I do something different

What are everyones thoughts.

Sean

With a white Z4 I’d go gunmetal , not too blingy but not too dark that you loose the wheels

On your car Gunmetal, 2nd choice Anthracite, nothing darker

Defo no black as it removes the profile of the wheel - just cant decide, maybe candy pink would be good

satin gunmetal maybe

Quite like the ferrite grey (if that's the top image?)
Does it have a bit of sparkle to it?
Agree in principle with everyone else though. Don't go too dark. Black just makes the tyres look permanently grey and dirty.

that's the top image and I do quite like it as well - seems like a light grey, maybe lighter than gun metal :D

PINK!

Seriously, though, I've not seen 326s in any colour other than silver that look good (all the pictures above are of different wheels). Shadow lines on a flat surfaced "diamond cut" wheel can look good, but not on on 326s. They always look "DIY" with a rattle can IMHO :)

Would be easier if we could see them on the actual car if someone is good at photoshopping?

If not, the first image.

The gunmetal to me looks like grey, out of that choice I would go with anthracite. Although gold wheels go well with white cars, I had a white Subaru WRX with gold wheels once, it looked great. Saying all that I agree with Pondrew colour also depends on the wheel and I am not sure how those colours will translate to the 326. If you are really brave how about candy red? although you will loose the red callipers with that.

Of your choices I like Gunmetal the best.

But I've seen Shadow Chrome darker than in your photo and really like that too.

Although the Hyperblack looks pretty good as well - although it isn't really black!

Whatever you choose I hope they come out how you want.

I am wary that anthracite will be to dark and I will lose the form of the wheel.

I am brave but not certain I would go with candy red on a zed - if it was a jap drift car then yep absolutely.

This is what is on our 1 series - thought it was gunmetal but looks grey and that is Alpine white
