What colour to respray the brake calipers ?

My callipers on my Z4c are all rusty & i'm going to sand them & spray them
Also the hub - going to paint that silver.

I think Red would cheapen it - I like to keep them standard.
What colour should they be ?

Heres what I done a couple of years ago on my Boxster

Before Pic (top part sanded)

The calipers were just cleaned - as they are powder coated red on the Boxster S

Hoping the Zed will turn out as good as this did.

I'll take some photos - before & after.. ..

What I really meant to say was
"red can cheapen it, if it's not done right"

and What I mean by "right" is for the calipers to be taken off, shot blasted & powder coated.

Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but this thread has been done several times already - if you hit the search function you'll find loads of info. Mine are red by the way. :D
 
What colour's the car ? JDM has a black coupe and his are black - subtle but very nice.
 
Right, OK, just done a search.
lots of different opinions out there.

Think someone else summed it up. The BMW calipers are pretty ugly looking things, so painting them Red would just high light it.
Going for black.....
