Hey folks.

I've been thinking about colouring my callipers, but I'm a bit at odds with myself. I have E89 35i in Estoril blue with silver wheels. I'm thinking either;

1. Leave as is (not my preference as they're a bit dirty and don't really match my otherwise spotless car)
2. Silver to keep them looking sort of stock (but new)
3. Estoril blue to match the car (but they don't look as nice as those newer stock M Sport callipers)
4. Gunmetal to be a bit more subtle (there's gunmetal on the lower half of the rear bumper so a sort of colour coding)

Vote...

gold works well with blue  other than that all your options would work ok to be honest, Id probably avoid blue personally and plump for silver from your options

bit of a thread here when i had the same dilemma :D https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=125932&hilit=caliper+colour

As Mr Tourette says gold goes with blue. You just need to make sure to get the right shade of gold to go with the Estoril blue but from your list I picked gunmetal grey, I think it will make a good contrast with the Estoril blue.

mr.tourette, I love those Inovits❤️
Phoenix Yellow for me

I voted for Gunmetal of the options offered.

But personally would go for yellow, or red like mine has!

Thanks for all the suggestions so far
I knew there would be other colours thrown into the mix, but for me personally it's really only the colour options I've put on the table for my stock callipers. If I was upgrading to some Brembo's then yes - yellow/gold/red would all be viable options.

I was definitely leaning towards gunmetal - and I see it's already winning by a nose :)

Think I’ve just found the look I’m after. It's basically same silver as the wheels and gunmetal on the anti-rattle clip (he filled the holes). Looks awesome...

Or how about the other way around, silver on the rattle clip and gunmetal on the calliper? I went with gunmetal on the calliper and candy red on the rattle clip, choose the right shade of red with gunmetal or silver and that would work well on your Estoril blue:

I plumped for Gunmetal, from your option. I like the look of gold though. A more subtle version of the Original Skooby 555 look. 8)

Thanks, but I’m really not into gold. I’m now thinking about gunmetal with silver rattle clip.

I tried pure yellow and it looked awful, IMHO, did my rears to match the BBK which was finished in Phoenix Yellow Metallic..Boltz colour looks 'off' maybe its a camera/light thing?
