Previous E85,was Sterling Grey so both cars were the colour BMW chose for their brochure cars!

My Dad always said by the colour they use in the brochure as its the best colour for the car. Just so happens on 3 out of my 4 cars I've purchased the car in a colour I love and it's also the brochure colour. My E88 was sapphire black but the brochure colour was 'champagne silver' not a colour aimed at their younger target market. More like the colour for the older drivers out there. Put it this way it's a colour my mum and dad like and maybe in 25-30 years I'll like it to?

Jet black was a very rarely spec'd colour. If you check Taz's colour spreadsheet/list you can see most people went for Sapphire
