Yeah...I thought it looked beige too...which is what I really wanted.

To all who answered "Grey"...you're absolutely (bloody) right!

:headbang:

That's a bummer :( grey may look alright though. Are there any images of z4 seats with grey leather?

I haven't see any. :idunno:

Grey is an awful colour for a trim....

Looks very dated..IMHO

But sadly, not quite dated enough! :headbang:

My plan was to get a silver car and do extensive 'mods' that would give it a much, much more retro feel...more like a 1940's racer-style. This grey leather is only going to get me back about as far as 1982!

Oooooohh...

Nice idea...

Surely ivory or oxblood then ?

Me and a friend retro modded a boxster a few years ago... Low back seats and period BBS alloys,Looked great..

Maybe reflects the owner?? This is the Series 1 with grey internals and it still gets admired.

So what's the prize?

The privilege of advancing to the next round of the quiz!

Q. Can you tell me what colour of Z4 might this colour leather interior look good in?

Black!! So you're going to re-spray the car to match the seats?

My 328iC had Cosmos Black paint and some kind of grey interior - I liked that more than the black and black I have now.

I am now ready to progress to round 3. :D

Do you have any photos of what you did to the Boxster?

I'm trying to collect as many ideas as I can.

I personally havent got any pics, but i will send him an email and see if he has..

Grey leather looks great on darker cars Blue or Black but if you are going retro with a Silver car got to be Black ,Wine or even a Dark Blue leather.

Yes.
I'm thinking the leather could be re-dyed. Oxblood/Wine or even Brown (will have to be dark now) I think would be best?

I wouldn't try to have a car itself resprayed a completely different colour....but that HAS given me another slight idea!

Look at the paintwork on these...especially the Z4 Coupe and the one that looks like a Concept BMW Roadster:

How difficult to achieve are those Matte/Frozen finishes?

Most cost effective way for a frozen colour is to wrap the car... Probably less than a third of the cost of painting it..

Colour Change...

John at Bespoke leathering does awesome work...

John at Bespoke is who I use and who I was going to consult about changing the colour of this particular leather set"!

You can see what he's done on a couple of my cars:
