What Coilovers to go for?

Beedub, I'm aware of the rear coilover conversion that comes with the Intrax. There are steps you can take to mitigate this but it is a concern and worth bearing in mind... In the end I went for the KWs as I got a deal on them (saving me £1k over the Intrax setup), and they fit my requirements perfectly. It's ultimately a 50:50 B-road/track car to me, so Intrax was a little too much for what I wanted. I've so far not been disappointed in the slightest with my choice, and a mate on the way to Goodwood on Sunday commented on how he couldn't believe how planted the car felt from the passenger seat. He likened it's attitude on the road to 996 GT3s he's ridden in.... I've not spent much time in a GT3, but I welcomed the compliment :)

As for the question on the KWs - On the softer setting, the ride was very smooth. We set the car up initially quite soft when they first went on, and considering how low we'd also set the ride-height, a friend and I were both shocked at the quality of the ride. Having come from a scene of modifying VWs, and dropping cars as low as they can go on a set of coilovers, my mate was speechless. He expected a bouncy, harsh ride, but it was calmer and smoother than stock. I've since firmed things up a bit of course, but the potential to get a relaxed ride out of the KWs is certainly there.

Sixspeed, do the KWs improve the ride comfort on the softest setting when taking things easy? I'm sick of the other half moaning about that.

Sod the other half, this is my moan! I was all for selling the car y'day! The roads up and around Aberfoyle are horrific, car was dangerous, i'm not going to say it's the worst car i've driven fast, but it's up there! On uneven roads its crap!

You weren't saying that when we went up the Lecht... :)

sixspeed, how low did you go??

also did you experience any rub on the common front arch section where the arch lining and bumper meet.

how about camber ? how much are you running on your setup?
