My God!! Isn't it just! What a strange looking car. Nice big engine but

M3 and a shed all the way. The others will just be boring and depreciate rapidly.

Never rent anything, you can afford to buy. If you can't afford to buy something, bare in mind that it's nearly always going to cost you more to rent it. So never Rent any thing. Simple Buzy Logic.

The M130i gives a good amount of power for money spent.Their is one on A/T at present £6750 or make an offer, sensible mileage.Allow money for a new water pump as its done 70k.

My thoughts to, or a Z4 ///M. The £500 ved is nothing when linked to the near zero depreciation of a Zed compared to the renting of the others.

Buy this and also have £9k left to play with !!

M135i new on a PCP :D you can get some very nice discounts on them

This is what is attracting them to me Jan_Tekin I have never financed a car before though so not sure if I should start thinking about doing it now either.

I can't get over the looks really which is another issue in itself, but its super fast and practical which is why i'm tempted. Also may stop me modding as I don't think you can on PCP.

I'm swaying towards an M3 atmo as its a way of getting the S54 at a fairly good price.

I have some Art that I may part with in the new year to fund a new car (maybe even a Z4M) but I don't really want to sell it as they are going up in value and look great on the walls.

Decisions Decisions Decisions :?

The finance deal on the M235i when I looked was very good, think they were looking at a £5k discount. Have a look at http://www.coast2coastcars.co.uk

I guess it's a case of how much the art will go up versus the cost of the PCP?

Yea this is the question, but its like stocks and shares and can go up and down very easily.

I don't have loads of it but the bits I do have are worth something.
I have bits from Banksy, Nick Walker, Stik, Beejoir, Sandra Chevrier and a few other bits.

Problem is it looks great on the walls of my house and I plan on holding on to them as long as possible, but my true passion is cars which is why I considered it :)

Any forum members owned E46 M3's?

Anything to watch other than sub frames and servicing?

Are they potential money pits?

Are they good for over 100k if serviced correctly?

If you are confident that the artwork will continue to appreciate, then I would keep hold of it (unless you really need the money or no longer enjoy it). In my opinion, better to make savings elsewhere and buy a more modest car.

I had an E46 M3. It was a cracking car and so so capable. I never really fell in love with it thou.

The Z felt a lot more special and I've loved owning it for the last two year. Sadly I have just sold it in the last hour.!!

Next week there will be a ZMR sat on the driveway :driving:

Im after trouble free motoring, thats why I looked at new. I never liked the one series before the LCI. Mines on a PCP and I said I wasn't planing on modding it but I have my eye on a BMW performance exhaust and a JB4, and if I plan to keep it I might add a LSD :D

Out of interest Sars, did you get a quote from coast2coast on your new motor and play them off against the dealer? I was thinking of trying this next time around depending on what discount BMW comes up with.

I wasn't really looking to change, but was contacted out of the blue by Knights North Staffs, I'd been playing with the configurator and spec'd up a few different cars so sent them an email for the 435d. A few days later I did a test drive and they were offering a pretty good discount so I checked with Broadspeed, sent them the same specification, who then beat Knights. This started me test driving the other cars on the list, including the M235i convertible from Coopers York, the discount on which was really good. I preferred the 435d, just seemed better value and just a better buy.

The sales guy, Dan was just really helpful, didn't feel like pushy at all, propbably my most enjoyable experience in buying a car so gave him the same specification for the 435d, it was a few quid more than Coopers but I liked the service from Dan and placed the order there and then. Best decision I've made in a long time.

Have to say though the M235i is a great machine and a lot of fun but I love the fact mine has xdrive
