The S2k was a lot of pure raw fun, but that raw part is best savored out on a track where you can rev the engine up into the RPM range it requires. It is actually slower than the Z4 but much more engaging to drive when you are driving it at it's limits.
Definitely not a refined vehicle like the Z4 for street driving and quite noisy at freeway speeds. I had a hard top for mine and did add quite a bit of sound deadening material to it but when I took a sound pressure meter out on the freeway one day I measured 90db in the cabin at 70mph with the stereo off.
I am definitely a happy camper for having acquired the Zed instead as it is a much better fit for me out on the streets.
I've only ever owned two vehicles prior to my Z that I bought in March of this year. I still have one of them, my old Silverado 88.

The other was an old 1977 5-speed Toyota pick-up truck. I loved that little thing. Talk about gas milage!
I traded it in for this Silverado which is my puller, grocery shopper etc. My Z is strickly for my pleasure.
