What can I ride\drive with no license...?

99.9% certain I'm losing my driving licence tomorrow for at least 6 months due to a couple of losing consciousness fits. It seems all I can drive is a 50cc moped, or electric pedal bike doing no more than 25mph....

It's a bit of a minefield hence the question, anyone have any idea what could be the quickest mode of transport I can drive\ride...? Beit 2 wheels, 4....whatever. Its a 24 mile rural commute each day over uncongested moorland roads with no trucks, buses etc.

HELP....!!!!

Some possible options here John. Interesting to read up a little on something I had not considered before.

Seems to be plenty out there. Up around 2-5k for <30 mph though. :(

I dont think you will be able to ride a 50cc moped as you either need a car license or a provisional to be legal.

As far as I know John you can't ride anything only a push bike or pedal assist e bike with speed assist up to 15.5mph with no license.
A moped would be a no no I'm afraid :(

I'll pop over every now and then and take you out in the Z for a coffee, I could pretend to be your carer, what could possibly go wrong :poke:

An E Bike would be your only option I think? Or just use taxis and be safe?

Too limiting Rock, I live in a rural village. A moped or something would at least mean I can get around here as public transport is futile. Also taxis are hard to pin down as private hire guys here are mainly airport runs etc.

Nope

Electric Motorbikes / Mopeds that are capable of getting to speeds in excess of 28mph are classed as L3e-A1. There is no speed restriction however you must be 17 or above and have passed a CBT course OR have a full motorcycle licence. Please see full licence requirements on the government website.

idk if you would need a ladder to jump up onto such a massive beast John.
If so, then it's potentially a non-starter.

Can you claim attendance allowance? Would at least pay for the petrol, something like £60 a week. Don’t know if it is enough to have to see John every day though

Feck, never thought of that, seeing him everyday has put a shiver down my spine
We love you really John :friends:

Don’t know what the rules are for L6/L7 vehicles in the UK but it might be worth looking in to. The Citroen Ami is L6e I think and there are others that go a bit quicker but may not be available in the UK. Aixam, Ligier, XEV.

As others have said if your licence has been suspended on medical grounds, you can only ride an ebike legally on the road, If you want a motor rated more than 250W or an assisted speed of higher than 15.5mph you will need a licence. Sorry to offer bad news but to get your licence back is always a struggle, with DVLA medical officers notoriously slow at agreeing to do so, so prepare for a longer wait.

[ref]john-e89[/ref], done a bit of googling and there's a bloke called Shanks, who lends out his pony?

When I had to stop driving for 3 monthe after 2 TIAs I notified the dvla and when I got the all clear from the consultant I contacted the dvla again and was told if I had been told I was safe to drive I could do it immediately.
