What can i get for my budget?

Hi guys,

It's been a while since i last posted. Last time i was researching zeds with a view to eventually buying one. As luck would have it, my car will soon likely be going to my brother so i'm actually starting to look for a replacement car probably september/october time. Obviously keen to find a zed where possible, and specifically a coupe.

I know prices have probably changed quite a bit since i was last looking so i was just wondering if i could have some input on what i could get for my money, I'm thinking of budgeting maximum 9k for a Z4 coupe (E86) which seems entirely possible looking at whats on the market. Firstly what do you think i could get for that money? I have seen some pretty nice examples (albeit higher mileage) for sale for sub 9k.

Secondly it would be good to know what id need to spend for my dream spec car which is BMW Z4 coupe sport, manual, monaco blue, amarone/champagne nappa interior, piano black dash?

I know these numbers are probably way off each other but i know you guys know your stuff so wondered if you had any opinions. Any would be gratefully received. Nice to be actually looking with a view to buying!

I reckon you would get a 3.0Si with around 70,000 miles on the clock that's 07-08 reg. In my experience added options don't tend to add a huge amount to resale value, many can also be retrofitted such as cruise control.

I was going to say that the prices may drop a little around the time your looking to purchase but as it's a coupe I wouldn't have thought that would be the case.

As you have said you'd like a sport I would try not to get won over by a non sport car as every time you see a car with sports seats you will wish you had them.
