Hi all,

As above I've got Breaking bad on a memory stick. My tv does not support USB, can I link this to my tv via my computer and if so what cable would you recommend for best quality picture and sound?

Cheers! :D

Sorry,

The computer is 7yrs old and the TV is 10yrs old and only the TV has HDMII. I have a cable which I think is VGA which I tried this gave me picture only no sound!

Thanks again...

Another option would be to buy a Google Chromecast for about £28. That will then effectively turn your TV into a smart TV. You can then stream stuff from your laptop (or mobile) to your TV. However, I'm not sure if you can stream the content of the USB stick as you'll probably need to get it in a web browser first. But you could subscribe to Netflix and watch all of Breaking Bad and Better Call Soul in the one month's free trial, then cancel. Google Chromecast supports Netflix and it works like a dream.

Thanks,

I've got some movies also on memory sticks so I'd probably still like some sort of hard wire.
Thanks for the replies so far...as always!!!
Much appreciated!

Hi Harry,

What about a Android box?

There are many others, that's just the one I have.
You can put a USB in the side and HDMI out the back, should do the trick!
You can even set up media sharing over the network from the PC to the Box.
But we can start small, with putting a USB in the side of it ;)
