Didn't the Goodyear F1's win the last evo magazine tyre test?

Is it the F1's that have quite good alloy wheel protection (i.e. the rubber protrudes out so that if you scrape a kerb you are more likely to scuff the side of the tyre than the alloy)? Or is that a different tyre that I'm thinking of?

Well if they are quieter than the potenza runflats I had before I'll be happy.

Got a euro road trip at the end of August to stelvio so want something decent on it.

I find Eagle F1s are noisy. My Avon ZZ5s were quieter IMO. The tyre stats may say differently though.

I believe the noise ratings relate to the external sound, not the sound the driver hears whilst in the cabin.

Well I should have the wheels back on Wednesday this week. Tyres have been delivered to the refurbers direct and the wheels are being painted tomorrow.

Also got my new centre caps through the post (genuine ones) so the wheels will look spanking when they're back.

Can't wait!
