Were there two different speaker upgrades?

I've seen cars listed ashaving LOGIC? And others that say 10 speaker system?

a) LOGIC 7 and DSP are the same thing, a digital surround processing (DSP) sound system with the highest powered amp and best quality speakers.

b) Then you have the 10 speaker system, not quite as powerful and doesnt have the surround modes.

c) Finally the basic system, you can tell if a car has this because 1. it sounds rubbish and has little bass and 2. it has shelves behind the seats instead of subwoofers.

The way to tell between a) and b) is to look for the surround modes in the options. If you don't find DSP within the BASS, TREBLE, BAL, FADER menu you have system b).

No, its optical wiring (ie fibre optic instead of copper wire)

You are better off with an aftermarket audio upgrade than trying to retrofit the DSP system - Go to an audio installer.

Just to clarify this - the DSP option isn't within the radios "Bass/Treble/Bal/Fader" menu. The DSP option will be found at the top level of the cars OBC, ie: When you go into the computer screen you'll have options for the "Navigation", "Telephone", I think the other one is "config" and then you'll have a "DSP" option.

Working from memory so these are approximate :)

I think maybe there were two different models actually... When you're installing the Intravee there's a quirk about whether the car has digital or analog audio - I believe both are delivered over copper though, rather than optical.

Not entirely sure but just a heads up :)

This is true if the car has DSP + Nav.

In non-Nav cars DSP is found within the radio's "Bass/Treble/Bal/Fader" menu.
