Had the panel off below the steering wheel today to try and sort a slightly squeaky clutch pedal and these 3 wires dropped down when I took the panel off.
Anyine know what they are for?

They clip into the back of the speaker that's fitted into the panel you removed. If you have the speaker, these wires should be located right above it.

Any joy with the squeaky clutch pedal? Mine does this now so it's on my list!

Ok. Thanks.

Assume wiring is included at factory even if the car doesnt have those options then?

As for the clutch pedal, I greased where the pedal exits the firewall and all seems good. It does however seem that i now have a similar noise from under the car so I will be chasing the noise next weekend and getting under the car!

Think it's just the gong for anything internally... like seat belt? Reverse gear selection gong? And whatever else! I'm pretty sure you should have a speaker and I thought it was fixed to the trim panel (the one you removed) could still be there just the wires have been disconnected?

Hmmm, interesting. Definitely no speaker in that trim panel but definitely have seay belt warning gongs and other warning sounds so its now a bit of a mystery......

There is a grille on the bottom right of the footwell thats not attached to this panel. Is that the speaker you are referring to?

Definitely dont have that speaker but the footwell light is there, it is connected to the black wire in the picture.
How do i get gongs etc if i have no speaker?!!!

Just to be sure, your picture is of the panel under the steering wheel that requires the 3 screws to remove/refit and gives access to the top of the pedals?

I am thinking I may be missing some items under there......
