These 2 connectors don't seem to have a use on my car, are they for illuminated gear knob, or something else?

Was that an available option? What about illumination for auto trans gears? Assuming you have a manual? Does your ashtray have illumination? What colours are the wires? Pre or post facelift?

Lots of questions, no answers, sorry. :(

- Yes, could also be connectors for auto box (mine has manual)
- Ashtray illumination comes from another connector than those.
- Black and purple (kind of)
- 2003, pre.

Also, since I forgot to connect my passenger airbag light before turning on the ignition, I now have the airbag light always on in the cluster :headbang:

Besides buying a tool such as a B800 OBD scan/reset tool, I don't know of any cheap way of erasing it. I know that cars older than 2004 like mine are more simple to erase, but has anyone done this before?

I'm guessing one was your airbag light then :poke:

Software and interface on eBay for £20 will work if you have xp laptop

No, my airbag light is connected (now), these two cables haven't found a home. Can't find the software you're talking about, but this one looks like a pretty complete tool that could also serve to troubleshoot in years to come.
