You can usually find them on the inside rims of the rear wheels, no need for tyres off.

I’ve seen it on this forum that 326M are notoriously prone to cracks. Last couple of sets have been advertised for 750-800 with good tyres, or 350 without. It’s a fussy bunch. You may do better on fleabay. Potenza runflats aren’t generally seen as a plus point.

I will check them over - car came from a main dealer although I know that guarantees nothing
Keen to get rid of the runflats but can't bear to bin tyres with 6mm on
I wonder how much of the cracking is caused by the tyres?
 
FWIW, I had a set of 326Ms in VGC bar one very small kerb dent in one wheel with Bridgestone RF also in VGC.

Consensus at the time was £700 ish (April 2018)..

I got £1,350 on eBay.

Some folks are desperate to get hold of these so the horror stories don’t put some off.

Changing tyres without going to a higher profile doesn’t seem to save them from cracking...
 
ebay really is a decent place to sell... 10 day auction, end it at a sensible time (ie 8 or 9pm on a weekday evening). and then put a decent item description, cover all possible bases there and put a honest description with good pictures. and then you should, theoretically, get what the item is really worth.

Though i would perhaps wait until lockdown restrictions regarding the 'stay at home' bit are eased, which appears to be until 29th March.
 
Thanks - Sunday night is always my go to option for ending a 10 day auction - have sold a lot on ebay over the years but not car stuff - will give it a whirl
 
i'm pretty sure you can post an ebay link on this forum too so by all means do that as well. the final buyer may still turn out to be from this forum, but ebay will be a far wider market.

only problem with ebay is dealing with the lowball, buy it now chancers... :roll:

Because they’re one of the best looking set of alloys that really suit the e89. I’ve been looking at alternative alloys for the last 6 months but can’t find anything better looking than the M326’s. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Unless you find an unscrupulous buyer who's intention is to keep the goods and get his money back knowing how easy eBay makes this for them.

Boltz: you're "anti 326" wheels crusade is getting a little boring now. I presume by the fact that you have "326 not very lookalikes" on your car means you had to bin yours and have an axe to grind?

There are millions of people who don't know the "potential" fragility of those wheels. Who knows. it may have just been a bad batch!

OP They will be a desirable, very pretty wheel and with a regarded "brand" name tyre on I would hawk them at at least £200 a piece on here or the 'bay. Here you might struggle thanks to certain people (naming no names).

Google shows 1.1m entries for cracked 326m wheels so I would suspect ‘a bad batch’ is a bit of an euphemism :rofl:

The issue, IMHO, with wheels like the 326m and similar ones much beloved by MB is that they over emphasise the small discs and single piston calipers on most Z4s..alloys with more ‘meat’ hide the visual embarrassment of those discs / calipers .. I’m not decrying their performance merely their visual presentation...

They were still an option on the M4 until at least 2016! Many painted black admittedly, but I don't think a lick of paint will make them stronger :P
