What are do these options mean?

Hi,just checked the spec of my coupe with the vin number and listed was hi-fi speakers-is this the most basic set-up? Also says preperation,BMW 6-cd changer I-bus? What's that all about :scratchhead:

You got cd changer and 10 speaker middle range stereo by the sounds of it.

Do you have cubby holes behind your seats? You shouldn't have

I think that means you have the 10 speaker set up. If you've no cubby holes behind the lower seats because there are woofers in there that'll confirm. If you see DSP as an option on your nav then you've got the tippity top one.

I'm guessing the second one means that if you don't actually have a CD Changer in the centre storage, you'll have all the wiring for one to be fitted. Fit an Intravee and and Alpine 420i and get all iPod enabled

preperation,BMW 6-cd changer I-bus is standard on all coupe's it doesnt necessarily mean you have a 6CD changer (£295 option) but the prep is there for it..

So to confirm,as I have cubbys behind my seats its the middle option as bluestreak56 says,what's the differance to standard? Better speakers? £500 seems alot for just upgraded speakers :dizzy:

Yes 10 speakers over 4 includes subs I think? It is a vast improvement on the base system..

Cubby holes behind the seats means 6 speaker system. The cubbys would have a mesh grill over them with a sun behind if it was hifi 10 speaker or carver/logic

£500 is a lot, but the sound is very good for a car system

Sorry to bang on but I'm not the brightest button :roll: I have just counted the speakers in the car & it's 8? Am I just being a plumb lay:

All cars have mesh on the door cards in front of the handles - which looks like a speaker, but on the 6 speaker cars, there isn't a speaker behind them

Right just had a play around with fader & balance & your right I have 8 speakers so that's the £500 hi-fi option then? Have to say it has great bass and thank for all the help, :ilz4f:
