Thanks for link..clears a couple of things up as in top hifi is what I have which is amp 10x speakers , next up is carver DSP.
It’s a huge long story, but when I bought the car it had Jehnert sound design custom speaker upgrade specially for e86. I suspected the previous owner simply reverted back to factory setup and removed whatever amp etc he had but still not clear how he had this custom door cards working.
I thought it be case to simply and going by what Jehnert saying to add a new amp and wire up the additional speakers 3x each door card 2 x footwell also replacing the tweeters and mids on door. But end result of additional amp wasn’t good at all. I’ve know been speaking to very knowledgable installer quite a bit away from me 5hrs drive but he’s recommending a musway m12 amp, which has outs which can then add my new amp I bought for the door cards and wire all other speakers 2x rear 2x mid 2x tweeters 2x footwell ( these are all part of the Jehnert upgrade also) to the musway amp and the 3x each side door card speakers to the other audio systems .de amp which is 2 channel and also has Jehnert 3way cross overs in door card.. Musway are new but from what I can gather really high end kit, the amp around £1100
He did look up my vin and could tell I had bmw hybrid setup utilising 9 channels but I kept referring to being DSP so now maybe need to bring this up and clarify he is aware it’s not a DSP and just amp which I think he must know but if not maybe I don’t need to go with running 2 amps and there is other solutions potentially cheaper solutions than the Musway M12 but I’m determined to get this Jehnert setup firing and has been expensive so far with failed audio installer who just didn’t grasp the job or knowledge of DSP or amps in bmw it seems and wasn’t prepared to read up and gain knowledge and just took the job on and fooked it but confident will get a result of new guy
