What am I doing wrong??

:headbang: I began using P21S products for waxing the Z. Though the protection and shine seem fine, the surface has a gritty feel to it?? Previously, using "lessor" waxes, the fishish was much smoother. Is there a "polishing" step I'm missing? It's not a clay bar issue since everytime I strip the wax the finish is smooth again. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!
 
I know you said it is not a claybar issue, but did you clay the car first? If not, I would try that first and see if it helps address your problem.
 
BTW, I do not mean to harp on here, but just like in painting, surface prep is 90% of the battle to getting a high quality finish.
 
Thanks, but I do understand the need for a clean base. That's what is perpexing... If i completely strip the surface,it's smooth (to the touch). When the P21S wax is applied it's gritty. I used to use the BMW liquid wax and it was smooth as silk. I was just wondering if anyone else who uses this product has experienced the same results.Thanks again!! :?
 
Been using P21S for last 3+ years, never had a problem, since using PC with it finish even better.
