56 and our first Zed was an early-retirement present to replace our MX5.
Now have a 3.0si roadster and wonder if this is the last swan song of the large internal combustion engine sports car (with low mpg) - if so I will remain a happy man and I'm glad I've had the chance to experience it.

:driving:

56 and I don't feel old. But looking at some of these youngsters ages I may be changing my mind.

Is there an over 50's club on here ? Is Carol the founder member :D

Z4 owned are typically under 30s, unmarried, no kids and don't own a house or are retired old codgers.

Their are exceptions to the rule but previous threads on the same subject have enforced these 2 profiles.

It's one of the few car forums where you get such opposite users. It's also one of the few car forums that has more than 1 female........ because it is a girl's car :poke:

I am an exception - hoorah !

40, married, one child, house, first Z at 34 for a year then the current one at 38. I am mostly bald, proportionately over-weight (at least that's what I tell myself), devastatingly handsome, and everything works. 80% of all you 20-something Zers will get rid of your car when life bites and then pine for years - YEARS - until you can squeeze another 2 seat sports car into your lives. But don't worry, I'll still be here waiting for you

Bing, you missed the "BWAHAHA ! " at the end.

Hi,
51 and looking forward to retiring in a couple of years; been in the RAF for 35 gusting 36 years and I've had enough. Had loads of Porsche and for the last 20 years have always had a minimum of 3 BMW bikes in the garage at once. Recent illness has led me to thin out the vehicles and the car of choice is a 3.0 Zed. Tried an M, but TBH as an all-rounder the 3.0 SE is unbeatable, especially as the wife loves going topless!
Regards
Andy B
