What a waste of time!

Hi all-dropped the zed off at the stealers this morn for the manifold/cat replacement,only to get a call half an hour later saying its not covered as its the main cat in the middle :headbang:
I actually spoke to their head tecnician(their words) on the phone a couple of weeks ago it was him that said it had shown up on the diagnostics as the manifold cat/s
He must of got it wrong i was told today-what a complete waste of time :headbang:

Tried that -no good,i have even complained to BMW customer services:thumbsdown:
 
Andy,you said you had 2 new 02 sensors fitted.
Your car has just passed the MOT emissions test,even though you have been told it's the main cat in the middle that is dead ?
Did you have the third O2 sensor replaced further down the exhaust ?
I have just had all 3 replaced just in case one was at fault.I had these fitted last week and so far,so good.
The zed seems to be running better,whether it's the placebo effect time will tell.
I'm sure the emission warning light will let me know like it usually does :headbang:
I'll keep you posted how I go on mate :thumbsup:

Don't worry about it slick,me and andy have PM each other joking about taking the bulb out,black tape over it :lol:

I would of thought that if it was another 02 sensor that the code would of lead to that-they are still saying faulty main cat :(
