What a difference a tyre makes.

:D After much reading on this forum I eventually made the decision and changed from 19" to 18" wheels and ditched the dreaded run flats. Just put a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 all round and from the outset it makes a totally different drive. The car is more compliant and you loose that sharp impact when driving over anything larger than a matchstick. Yet to try its cornering and holding to the max as I need to put a few hundred miles on the rubber first. But, big smiles all round and good price from Black Circles.

Good to hear but you would probably have found the same if you'd stuck to the 19s but fitted the Goodyear non RFT

Glad to hear! I am planing to ditch the RFT and going for the F1s in a week's time and really hope it will make a big difference!

I just don't want to waste my hard earned money as the RFT still have a good thread!!

Steve109 - have you tried driving it in the country lanes yet ? is it a more relaxed drive ?

Never had the dis-pleasure of run flats, but I do remember what a massive improvement it was when I first ditched the OEM Conties and stuck VRED S's on. Not so much improvement switching to Michelin PS. But the rear is more mobile and predictable. :D

good hear the reports on the F1, im just about to ditch my RF and go for the F1s, just found a company online called tyre lead, £384 for the set inclusive of VAT and postage, how much is black circle charging ? also going to change the pads allround as there getting low, any idea which ones are the best for there money? cheers lads and lasses.
