What a difference a day makes...

So I finally got a few bits done on the car this weekend.....

Mr whippy replaced with stubby.. Headlight resto complete...

Bit of spit and polish (well Autoglym shampoo, super resin, and claybar)

Number plate on (was about to run out of retention period so had to go on something) ...

And grilles Matt blacked (as no other chrome on the car)

Used to look like this:

Now looks like this:

Hmm what to do next, paint my nuts I suppose as they are looking shabby.

Just read your last statement and it made me flinch . . . .

Much prefer the look of the grills - can't bring myself to attack the Zed with the clay bar yet - it still gets filthy every time I take it out - going to hang on 'till the end of March I think.

Headlamp resto makes a big difference - all good work - nice one

Painting your nuts is obviously an option but who's going to see them?!

How about....
Royals Steering Wheel refurb
De-Ginger
Spacers
Eibach's
BMW badges to match the paintwork

Really does, I often think you can spend hours/days polishing the paint etc but if the headlights are shabby its almost a waste of time.
Where as you spend a hour refurbishing some particularly bad headlights and it lifts the rest of the car almost like you've polished the hell out of it!

All black grilles really work on that colour

Agreed about the headlight restore. I recently used the 3m kit on our CRV which had really bad yellowing and crazing of its headlights. Not often a product exceeds my expectations but was really pleased with the outcome. As you say for a couple of hours work it transforms the whole look of the car!

Hew1 it's a nice simple mod, I used plasticote (from Trago Mills) and removed the bezel from the grille and only sprayed the chrome part...

Cost less than a fiver and the plasticote goes on really smoothly.

Trago Mills... the place dreams are made of & only 15 minutes from me! going to have to give this a go on the chrome grills

Right......not entirely sure this is what dulux had in mind for their visualiser room planner app...

So while the wife is using it to decide what colour to paint the nursery for our impending arrival, I decided to see if it worked to show our car with de-gingered lights...

I like, just not sure just how difficult this wil be to achieve. What do you lot think?
