was up bright and early this morning and decided it was a nice day for a full detail.

set to work with the snow foam then used washing up liquid to remove all the layers and then a steam clean to remove the dirt.
then out came the clay bar for a good rub down,
then steam cleaned again with isopropyl alcohol ready for the polish.
got out the DA polisher and brought back the shine, this was buffed off with more isopropyl ready for the protection.
put 1 layer of synthetic sealant on then 1 layer of hard wax. was a long 8 hour sesh but the car looked great.

to treat myself and for a little show off i when for a nice little drive.
5 minutes up the road i was in the outside lane and heard a large knock. i knew it was a stone strike but didnt think much of it.
when i got back home i went to see the damage :o took a sec but there was a hefty dent in the front wing. my eyes then started to follow the line along the car until i saw hit 2 :headbang:

did some light scratches to the paint around the side repeater but these can be buffed off. now im stuck with a pannel respray and a new side repeater
so i might as well ask does anyone have 1/2 side repeaters for sale??
and does anyone have a clue how to get it out??

Can't see the pictures, but feel for you. Did mine on Friday to find another big car park dent in n/s wing and door

If you pm your address, I would expect they would be about £4 to post to you, Chris?

Tapatalking...

So how did half the side repeater come off?

I recently cut mine down and the clear plastic is firmly fixed onto the white plastic. So much so, that I had to use pliers to remove the bits that stuck on.

thanks guys

yeh musta been a rock.. what road was that on? surely you should be able to claim for this kinda stuff.. the council shouldn't have rocks lying around. tiny stones is fine..if it was your windscreen it couldda been even uglier!

sorry to hear about your day.. hope it works out.

Wtf did you hit to cause that!

Thats shocking!

If you dont want a full wing respray you could get the dent lift and a chipsaway jobbie on it.... Save you a few quid.
