The Mrs has been looking for a new car for a few weeks to use as her daily drive
After driving a Boxster and a Jag F type the Boxster won :o
So she picks up her new 718 with PDK in Guards red in a couple of week

What swung the decision to the Porker over Jag?
We only tried the 2ltr jag and it just didn't feel as good to drive
Understood - not a nice experience pulling 300hp out of a gruff 4 pot and generally stripped out interior to a price.

Nice that 8) very very nice :driving:

Think the jag looks fantastic and if it wasn't going to be a daily drive but a weekend car the V6 would definitely been in the running

Any opinions of the flimsy weedy paddle pull on the F type CJ? It’s put me off one tbh.

Sorry for thread hi jack Metal, that’s a lovely 718, she’ll love it and I won’t knock her teeth out..! :driving:

sorry - no hijack intended.
Easy fix to replace with alloy paddles. Even dealers do it. In my case I found a brand new SVR wheel on eBay for £200 so swapped (similar to ///M conversion on the Zed)

Sure but it’s the tiny amount of paddle travel and a pathetic little click that puts me off Phil, where’s the meaty thunk of some proper engineering?

Glad I read this - when I saw the "darkside" mentioned I thought it might be about a diesel!

Lovely looking daily.
