Wet patch confusion - Part 2 (to do with cars) lol

Hi all,

Since my last post about the wet bit in my boot it's now decided to get worse (due to complete shite weather) and it is in the boot on left hand side and the battery compartment!

I have had a mechanic friend look at Zoe and he found that water is coming in, on the boot section of the roof near the passenger side wing? However he can't get his hand to the bit he needs to and said the roof will probably need to come off in order to fix and I would need to speak to a roof specialist? He said it seems it is coming in through there and I would need to sort it sharpish as it is near the roof motor!

Do any of you lovely lot know a roof specialist in Hampshire/Surrey or anyone else that might be able to help?

Many thanks, Emma

Do you leave your Zed outside Emj?

Perhaps invest in a half cover which will direct the rain water away from the boot area and away from the roof motor?

You'll still have to get the drain cleared - a specialist could do that - then use the half cover whenever the cars parked overnight or through the day when it's raining. Careful which cover you get though as some cover more than others. I have a Just Roadster half cover in silver which has elastic straps to hold it in place - very easy to fit and covers the back of the boot well. I also have just purchased a BuzzTopz half cover made of a waterproof material which has a magnetic strip and Velcro fastening around wing mirrors - its blown out of place twice (was windy though!) and doesn't quite cover up as much of the channels at the boot end as I would like. So maybe the better buy would be the more expensive half cover that fits into boot and doors = more secure. Whichever one used it will help keep water out the back of the car.

Good luck getting it sorted.
