Hi there. This is a continuation from an earlier problem I had after leaving my 2003 e85 out in a nice summer shower. Bravo!
Main issues now are
1. Indicators on dashboard don't work. (but do work outside the vehicle)
2. Radio does many things wrong including, fixed volume, or no signal at all, or not connecting with 6 CD holder.
3. Parasitic drain on battery mainly from asc/dcs circuit.
I've lifted the carpets on passenger side. It's wet underneath. I've had a code reading saying that codes '87 k-bus' and 'f9-can bus asc control unit' are the issue. I have removed the fuse of the asc/dsc circuit whilst parked as it was draining my battery.
My questions are.
1. Can I dry the carpets out or do they need to be replaced?
2. Which components need to be replaced under the carpets and on which side? (I know there will be the same moisture problem on the driver side)
3. Is there anything I may be missing here. I'm a novice with car repairs. But I can fix things.
(on a side note the reverse parking sensor isn't working any more and the roof only goes up/down when I press the button while simultaneously starting the engine...... I'm not so concerned about fixing these but it may provide more clues).
