Afternoon folks, just purchased my new daily, a lovely 3.0 si, ive been craving a bit of noise and drama into my daily grind and these cars just fill that void perfectly, ill be running it alongside my vx 220 Turbo of which i think they compliment each other perfectly but very different.

a lovely 3.0 si,

Welcome and they do both look nice . Has the exhaust been changed as they are normally found to be too quiet .

I removed the 2 bungs but still too quiet for me so having the back box delete done on Tuesday, for me it just brings a little more drama.

Hope you have kept the bungs as you may want to put them in your ears after having the back box delete

I don`t know myself but have read plenty of posts on here about people that have had them and changed them back . Probably depends on who does it and how they do it and what your interpretation of loud is . If you have been to loads of rock gigs like me you will not notice any difference

im near Dudley so hopefully not waking anybody up on here, im a tvr man at heart my last one being a Griff 500 so hopefully this won't surprise me to much, if ridiculously loud ill just have a smaller muffler to replace the massive back box, I've just fitted my new Storm gear knob which is so heavy but fantastic quality.

Welcome to the forum.

That's a great pair of fun cars you have.

I've met up with a 3.0Si a few times that has a back-box delete and it's definitely loud! I've got after-market back-boxes on my car, but when the 3.0Si starts up I can't hear mine.

A smaller back-box might be a good compromise. My previous Z4 (3.0Si) had a custom cat-back system with a smaller back-box and I thought it was just right. Louder with more pops and bangs but not tiring on long journeys.
