West Berkshire Evening Meet 21st August

Just making the most of summertime , so lets go again for Wednesday 21st August
Change of venue to Sherfield On Loddon. Near Bramley, Basingstoke.

7:30 for 8pm is good.
Sensible carpark , which I will try and aim for. Might make a dozen locations over time and we can meander between them. So any ideas is also helpful for that. May even make Sunday meets , if we find we dont have enough time to chat :D . Let me know your thoughts ?

I'm provisionally up for this, assuming nothing crops up between now and then! Also defo up for regular meets around the bucks/Berks/Oxon areas!
 
I’m a possible. I can’t always do Wednesdays though so I’ll see if it fits closer to the time.
 
Definitely up for that as I got my Z4 back this afternoon, now with working A/C! :D

I'll need to print a map for that location though - last time I went there my SatNav couldn't find it! :headbang:

I like the idea of different venues too - depending on where people are some will be nearer to different members than others which hopefully broadens the appeal.

Sundays are also usually fairly popular. The 2nd Sunday each month we used to have a Surrey/Berks/Hants meet at Newlands Corner near Guildford, but they started charging for parking! :( So now we go to the Black Swan pub at Ockham and tag along to a classic car meet there, but it's probably a bit of a trek for you as it's near J10 of the M25. But we had eight Z4s in July and spent hours talking all things Z4 so it went pretty well!

Seems like we may have started something here then :D
Always open for ideas. Maybe towards the ( dare I say it) darkening evenings , we could try a Sunday for more chat time and daylight to nose around cars etc.
Ockenham is a little trek, but being my daughter is moving to Ramsgate this month, its not too bad and should get there one month. Just been a bit of a silly season at 'Chez TJ' this year.
Venus changes have various reasons. 1/ We dont hog the carpark every month. 2/ Invigorate others 3/ Different views and a different drive out.
If this gets going, we can look at sorting other ideas , like breakfast runs, xmas meets , in our patch :thumbsup:
 
Nudging this back to the top as a week and half to go.............. Being I am off work that week, may go a little earlier after the current wife is back from work for food also ............... although I havent approached her on that one yet :D
 
I can't believe I'm going to have to miss this one as well. :headbang:

My elderly mother has just had an appointment to see a specialist, and it's on the 21st! And I'm the taxi service.
 
Its not a problem Mr T. Family 'always' comes first. :thumbsup:

I've only just seen this and would have made the effort to come along had I seen this sooner. I live on the coast but the meet location isn't a million miles from where I work in Eastleigh. Due to having little ones, I struggle to make weekend meets, so I'd welcome a midweek alternative.

Perhaps including North Hants in your subject would get a bit more interest. I certainly would have looked a lot sooner :thumbsup:

Unfortunately mid-week I'm usually in Brackley which is quite far from Basingstoke for a quick meet. If it was closer or on a Friday or weekend I would most certainly show up. Hopefully the next one will be closer to me. :D
