Went to see this today. Very tempted

I definatley take a Aero out for a spin if I could afford one. 8) The others I'm not so taken by. Nice face shame about the legs. That does have a nice face though.

You'll need a beard with crumbs and a leather flying helmet!

You've just described John McDonald very accurately  you'll know who he is :D

McDonald Racing - ah the old days at Croft when a man could build a racing saloon car in the shed.

John is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic man but his cars weren't for me tho, and the itch I had has now been scratched.
If I wanted a Morgan he would be the bloke I would go to see - without a doubt.

We have a cream with blue plus 4 in the family which I occasionally drive, small world but bought new in 2007 through MacDonald Racing when they were at Lanchester (fantastic old sheds in keeping with the factory!)
They are almost depreciation proof and 'interesting' to drive with positive reactions from everyone - if you can overcome the length of the bonnet and the soft brakes!
A trip to the factory is worthwhile seeing the build processes and options available.

I saw an episode of the wheeler dealer programme today - that Mike Brewer raved about the handling and pin sharp steering along with he the performance.
That was on a car that was going to need work to pass an mot!

It wasn't my experience.

it passed, I'm now old, wonky and looking forward to being retired

Belated Happy Birthday - I'll join you at that age in April. :( (But I'm already unemployed, and it's great)! Not so much wonky as cronky!

Anyway, getting back to Morgans I like the look of them but to me it seems like you are buying a new car from 50 years ago so how good can it really be? Would you buy a new Cortina if someone made some - I certainly wouldn't!

Mind you Jaguar seem to have done well with the "new" lightweight E-types........ nostalgia is definitely expensive!
