Went to put my roof down today but.........

Do a search on the micro switch Jonny, loads on here. Maybe your roof replacement guys swapped in a duff motor

Where exactly did you get the power from your door entry lights from ....

Is that plug back connected again?

Check the red motor disengagement handle at the top of the boot - if it's not pushed all the way home the roof won't open without manual assistance. A good pointer to this is if the locks disengage but the roof doesn't move

The loop of the handle should be parallel with the top of the boot i.e. flat as you look at it, then a tab slides into the notch at the end of the tube and the tapered section slides all the way in

No windows dropping either?

Perhaps with all that electric messing about, a system reboot is required (i.e. take the negative lead of the battery).

Motors goosed I reckon. Under used its seized. Being garaged is no guarantee.

When did you last check your drains?

Could the battery voltage be low causing the roof not to open.Go for a blast to charge up the battery.I would do this before you start messing with wiring ,leavers etc.

It must still drop the windows, surely? Come on JE, let us work it out!
Yeap windows drop, roof unlatches, and motor wines but red flashing light. Does the parcel shelf need to be down?

If it was the shelf of micro switch the roof would not even unlatch.

It's your motor or something linked to it like the red handle in the boot.

Has it ever worked since you had a new roof put on it?
I seem to remember you saying that you didnt lower the new roof in case it creased.

How long does the motor whine for? Are you sure its the roof motor whining and not the latches?

If its the roof motor, check your red pull chord in the boot is correctly in place. If it is slightly out, it could be preventing the hydraulics from working. You can test by trying to manually put the roof down.

I can see you reading the book on this one. Im sure (from memory here) that the shelf had to be down to allow stowage.

The motor keeps on whining ( like me atm lol )
The red latch, what postition should it be in, and the parcel down too not up??
Look at the post I made on this thread 2 hours ago :poke:

Parcel down, but there would be no whining if it was in the incorrect position.

Shelf down, latch in this position flush with the top edge of the boot :

This is it disengaged for manual operation, it should NOT look like this :
